You won't have no dreams,
You won't have no home
All you'll have is what you're wearing
As you start to roam
When that levee breaks
It'll drive you wild
First it takes the land
Then it takes your wife and child
When there's high water everywhere.

There ain't no use in praying,
Ain't no use at all
River's rising in the South
As night's about to fall
When that levee breaks,
Drive a man insane
Take everything that you got,
Leave your soul in pain
When there's high water everywhere.

1. High Water Everywhere
(McGowan) Coooool! I love this, so... I'm kind of speechless.... -- Jore

A little bit of blues. The original 'High Water Everywhere' is a Charley Patton song - from 1929 I think - and I took Charlie saying 'Lord Have Mercy' and put him into my song near the end. -- Davy
